Round 2

So you may have noticed the lack of frequent posts lately. Or perhaps the lack of creativity in what little posts have been made. Truth is....I'm tired and lack the brain power to even attempt to type up an entertaining story or two about Javen. (And believe me, I'm not lacking the material. He's just as funny as ever.)  I've even been trying to come up with a fun and creative way to announce to all of you that I'm pregnant.

Oops! Guess I just did.

On a different note... I guess I should clarify about Javen's hair in the last post. We didn't style it that way! After his bath, I towel dried his hair and got him dressed for bed...the big woosh in front dried that way naturally. We were playing on the couch when it hit me that he looked like Conan, so I grabbed my camera to show the proof to Jake when he got home. True story!

New Host of the Tonight Show

Jay Leno has passed the torch and now the Tonight Show has it's 4th ever host in the history of the show. Ladies and Gentlemen..... Conan O'Brien!

Memorial Day 2009

We spent Memorial Day this year with our friends the Tellers at the lake (where Paul's mom lives.) The kids always have a great time playing together, but I really think it was Jake and Paul who had the best time fishing off the dock. Below are a few snapshots from the day.

Javen playing on the dock. We made him put a life vest on if he was on the dock and not being held. I don't think he's such a fan of it. He had absolutely zero balance with this thing on.

"Driving" the boat. (The boat was docked at this point.) As soon as he set foot on that boat he headed straight for the driver's seat.

USB

So the USB cord wasn't technically lost. It just hadn't been unpacked from our Fl luggage...so I guess it was lost in the bags. I knew it was in there somewhere. Yes, it took me this long to finish unpacking every zipper pocket and every corner of the bags. Don't judge. I'm downloading photos as we speak.

7 Things

I've misplaced the USB cord for the camera...again. I have a few ideas where it might be hiding right now, so rest assured the remainder of the FL photos as well as a bunch of new pictures will be popping up here soon.

In the mean time, I've been tagged by two of my real life and blogging friends (Amanda and Laura) to list 7 things about myself. I'll try to be creative for you...it'll be a challenge for me to write something unrelated to Javen. :)

1. I love to travel and I want to see the world! So far I've visited England, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix and Virgin Gorda. (As well as a handful of states here in the US.) Hopefully getting to New Zealand next!

2. I'm not a huge fan of red meat. It's not an ethical issue with me, I just don't really enjoy it aside from the occasional cheeseburger (though Grandad just made an AMAZING steak a few weeks ago-which is saying something since I rarely eat/order steak). I refuse to eat pork in any form. Bottom line: it's just gross.

3. Speaking of food, I love cheese. It goes great with everything or just by itself. Lately I've really enjoyed Brie Cheese with a slice of pear on water crackers. Yum! Excuse me while I go have a little snack...

4. I love music of all kinds (so it's great that I live in Music City) but I don't love going concerts because they end so late at night. I need my sleep people! Javen doesn't care how late I'm up-he gets up the same time every morning. Can't you start the show at 3pm and be done by dinner?

5. I can't paint my nails to save my life. I don't know why it is so hard for me to keep the nail polish off my skin. I always have Heather do it for me. 

6. I'm taller than my husband. Only by an inch or less, but if he spikes his hair we look even.

7. I love being a hostess and having people visit or come over for dinner. I think I get that from my Dad; he's the same way. I'm so blessed to have a husband who shares that trait with me. Come visit us!
